The character list of Mahabharata

The legendary Indian epic Mahabharata written by sage Vyasa tells the tale of the Kauravas and the Pandavas, and the battle that ensued in Kurukshetra. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mahabharata)
Lord Krishna plays a pivotal role in the saga. Philosophy is used aptly wherever necessary, along with proper justification for the acts done. Devotion to God and one's Guru is another highlight of this epic. 'What you sow is what you reap' is explained righteously in the name of Karma. Readers are enlightened with the statements of Lord Krishna, on the principles a human being should lead his life. Dharma is also stressed upon from the beginning to the end of the saga.
It might not be possible for everyone to read the Sanskrit version of Mahabharata. However, there are many publications available in English and few other Indian regional languages to let the readers understand the epic in a simple and precise manner.
In order to quench my curiosity, I picked up an English version of Mahabharata by Srimath Swami Chidbhavananda. To my surprise, I enjoyed reading it, and was in awe of the characters and the tale that unfolded in front of me. To make sure I understand the saga clearly, I jotted down the names, and the relationship of the characters from the start to the end in the order they appeared in the book. I believe the author has not used the entire character mentioned in the original Mahabharatha, but has used only the necessary one's to tell the saga in a brief manner. Hope this list helps you. And, just like I found Mahabharata informative and interesting, hope you do too.
