What is it with men and listening?
Undoubtedly this question might have been raised by all the ladies in some way or the other, but with no response from their men or anybody from 'Mars'. Is it really that difficult for men to listen to what is been said by a woman? Or is it that ears are used by men just as an organ for the purpose of hearing and not really listening? Hearing and listening are not the same. So men who come up with the argument that 'I have heard you' or 'I am hearing you' doesn't really mean that you got the message that was just passed by the person talking to you. Listening is what you need to do when someone is having a conversation with you. It is only when you listen that you grasp, understand and comprehend the message, which hardly any men does unless the conversation/discussion is regarding their hike in salary, choosing the place to booze/hangout with their friends, and the last but not the least when they are trying to woo and impress a girl. But again their short sense of listening goes mute once they marry the girl they chased.
Are the Venusian's really the reason behind men's such attitude? Well, its always a question to debate upon, and a favorite topic of men to put the women down. I bet, hands down the Martians would win because they are never 'listening'. Ever wondered how a woman feels when her man ignores her by not paying attention to what she is talking? Its easy for guys to raise their voice and ask the woman to keep quiet and not to yell. However, the big question here is, why was she yelling? Why was she talking at the top of her voice? Why was she sounding so irritating to you? The answer to all these questions is very simple, because you were not 'listening'. Yes, you heard me right, 'you were not listening.' For example the woman might have asked you to do something and you might have heard it but wouldn't have responded or taken any action. Time is ticking and you are still seated where you are or doing what you were doing. The woman again patiently asks you to help. But nah!! the time has not yet come for the Martians to be of some help. The woman who have been lovingly, patiently asking you for some help begins to talk at the top of her voice. And Voila!!!. There rings the alarm bell for the men to raise their voice and subdue the woman. Stop right there. Think what really happened. Why did it happen? She choked her lungs out just to seek your attention, and to get the work done that she had been asking to begin with. Why is it so difficult for men to simply just listen? In the end though, the woman is always portrayed as the 'hitler' and the 'yelling maniac', the 'control freak' etc. Seriously??!! Its high time that men understand the reason behind such a reaction from a woman. Women are not monsters as they may seem when talking in a high pitch to you. They are the most loving creatures on earth. And you know it! So all the men out there better start listening and be good listeners. It wont do you any harm. In fact, it would help you avoid a lot of conflicts and unhappy situations. You want your woman and yourself to be happy, peaceful at the end of the day, isn't it? Then just start 'listening.'
You really don't need to take much effort to listen. Really!! You can have my word on that. All you need to do is follow these simple steps-
1. Have an open mind.

This is because of our background, Indians are hypocrites, for so many years Men were dominating women so they don't bother what women say, we are now in a transition period all men are slowly changing you can expect the complete change in another 25 years :)
